Darbie Valenti
Darbie Valenti loves first and teaches second. With empathy as the basis of her work, she builds relationships with her students while promoting a growth mindset to empower them to believe that they can make meaningful and impactful changes to our world. Darbie studied Elementary Education as well as Art Education at Northwest Missouri State University and is currently pursuing Master degrees in both Educational Leadership as well as Gifted Education. Her teaching experience spans third through eighth grades along with serving as an adjunct professor for her alma mater. Darbie was recognized as a STARR Teacher for the state of Missouri in 2006 and was later named the 2017 Missouri Teacher of the Year. Those honors has afforded her the opportunity to serve as an ambassador for STEM education as well as trauma informed education in her state, nation and around the globe as she fulfills her passion of building capacity in teachers. When not teaching or training others, you can find Darbie camping or enjoying a round of golf with her fiance.STEM Rev Experience Statement:
